San Xoán de Santeles Church

he church of Santeles only preserves the westernmost part of the nave walls and part of the main facade from its original construction. The original structure was transformed with the addition of the two side chapels that precede the apse, which is also modern.

The doorway is framed by two pairs of columns with vegetable capitals and archivolts decorated with small arches and balls. The similarities with the north doorway of the monastery of San Salvador de Camanzo lead us to think that they may be the work of the same author, being built at the end of the 12th century or at the beginning of the 13th century.
